How we think about it
As a Company Limited by Guarantee, we have no shareholders and no dividends. Every pound you pay us goes into one of three places:
- Running the service — connectivity costs, infrastructure, support
- Paying the people — transparently, at sustainable rates
- Surplus reinvestment — digital inclusion projects, open-source tools, community initiatives
We set our prices to cover costs with a modest buffer — not to maximise profit. If we ever build up more surplus than we need, we'll either invest it or lower your bill. We'll always explain what we're doing and why.
